여행 영어 (2) 공항에서

영어회화 연습하기: 여행 영어 (2) 공항에서 비행기를 기다리며

공항에 도착하면 여행객들로 가득합니다. 

다들 옷차림도 가볍고 목적지가 어디인지 무척이나 신이 나 보입니다.

출국 수속을 마치고 비행기를 기다리면서 

함께 여행하는 친구와 신나게 수다를 떨며 흥분을 감추지 못합니다.

비행기 출발 지연 안내도 신나는 마음을 꺾을 수는 없습니다. 

관광지를 둘러보고 맛집을 찾아다닐 생각에 다들 정신이 없습니다.

마침내 비행기가 도착하고 보딩을 시작합니다. 

드디어 본격적인 여행 시작이군요!

파트 A, B로 나뉘고 

A는 영어만 / B는 한국어 해석과 같이 구성되어 있습니다.  

A로 말하기 연습을 하고 본인이 이해한 것이 맞는지 B로 확인하면 됩니다.    

 

시작합니다. 

 

주제:  4명의 친구가 게이트에서 비행기를 기다리며 나누는 대화

-A-

Alice: (checking her passport and boarding pass) "I can't believe we're finally going to Europe!

I've been dreaming about this trip for years."

Bob: "I know, right? I can't wait to explore all the iconic landmarks and try different cuisines."

Carol: "Me too! It's going to be an adventure of a lifetime."

David: "I've got my camera ready to capture all the amazing moments."

Alice: "Oh, by the way, I heard there's a beautiful castle near our hotel. 

I definitely want to visit it."

Bob: "That sounds like a plan! Count me in."

Carol: "And I heard the shopping in Europe is fantastic. 

I'm going to splurge a bit."

David: "Well, we all deserve some retail therapy."

Flight Attendant Announcement: "Ladies and gentlemen, we apologize for the slight delay. 

We are currently waiting for the aircraft to arrive at the gate. 

The flight to Europe is expected to depart in approximately 30 minutes. 

Thank you for your patience."

Alice: "A little delay won't dampen our excitement. We're almost there!"

Bob: "Exactly! A small hiccup won't spoil our incredible journey."

Carol: "I'm just so grateful we're getting this opportunity to travel together."

David: "Same here. I couldn't have asked for better travel companions."

Flight Attendant Announcement: "Good news, ladies and gentlemen. 

The aircraft has just arrived at the gate. We will begin the boarding process shortly. 

Please have your boarding passes and passports ready."

Alice: "Finally, time to board! Europe, here we come!"

Bob: "Woo-hoo! Let's make this trip unforgettable!"

Carol: "I can't wait to see all the beautiful cities and landmarks."

David: "And don't forget the delicious food!"

Flight Attendant Announcement: "Thank you for your patience. The boarding process will now begin. 

First class and priority passengers, please proceed to the gate.

Economy class passengers, your boarding will follow shortly."

Alice: "Let's get in line. Our European adventure awaits!"

Bob: "I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself."

Carol: "We're going to have the time of our lives!"

David: "Absolutely! Let's make every moment count."

Alice: (checking her passport and boarding pass) "I can't believe we're finally going to Europe! 

I've been dreaming about this trip for years."

(여권과 비행기 티켓을 확인하며) 내가 드디어 유럽에 가다니 믿기지가 않아!

오랫동안 꿈꿔온 여행이야. 

Bob: "I know, right? I can't wait to explore all the iconic landmarks and try different cuisines."

맞아, 그렇지? 주요 관광지를 둘러보고 색다른 음식을 맛볼 생각 하니까 못 참겠어. 

Carol: "Me too! It's going to be an adventure of a lifetime."

나도 그래! 내 인생에 있어서 신나는 일이 될 거야.

David: "I've got my camera ready to capture all the amazing moments."

멋진 순간들을 내 사진기로 다 담아낼 준비가 되어있어.

Alice: "Oh, by the way, I heard there's a beautiful castle near our hotel. 

I definitely want to visit it."

아, 근데 말이야, 우리 호텔 근처에 예쁜 성이 있대. 

거긴 꼭 가고 싶어. 

Bob: "That sounds like a plan! Count me in."

좋지! 나도 갈래. 

*That sounds like a plan 좋은 생각이야 (=It's a good idea)

*Count me in 나도 합류할게. 나도 낄래. 

Carol: "And I heard the shopping in Europe is fantastic. I'm going to splurge a bit."

그리고 유럽은 쇼핑하기에 정말 좋대. 이번에 플렉스 좀 하고 와야지. 

*splurge 돈을 물 쓰듯이 쓰다.  비슷한 말: overspend 과소비 하다

 

David: "Well, we all deserve some retail therapy."

그래, 우리 모두 쇼핑 치료 좀 해야 돼. 

Flight Attendant Announcement: "Ladies and gentlemen, we apologize for the slight delay.

승객 여러분, 출발이 지연되어 죄송합니다.

여객기가 현재 게이트로 이동 중입니다. 

유럽으로 가는 우리 비행기는 약 30분 안에 출발 예정입니다. 

기다려 주셔서 감사합니다. 

 

Alice: "A little delay won't dampen our excitement. We're almost there!"

약간 지연되는 건 우리의 사기를 꺾지 못해. 거의 시간 다 됐네!

*dampen 약화시키다

Bob: "Exactly! A small hiccup won't spoil our incredible journey."

맞아! 사소한 문제는 우리의 굉장한 여행을 망치지 못해.

*hiccup 딸꾹질, 사소한 문제

Carol: "I'm just so grateful we're getting this opportunity to travel together."

우리가 함께 여행할 수 있다는 것에 감사할 뿐이야.

David: "Same here. I couldn't have asked for better travel companions."

나도 그렇게 생각해. 너희들 보다 더 좋은 여행 친구를 구할 수는 없었을 거야.

Flight Attendant Announcement: "Good news, ladies and gentlemen. 

The aircraft has just arrived at the gate. We will begin the boarding process shortly.

승객 여러분, 좋은 소식이 있습니다. 

여객기가 게이트에 막 도착했습니다. 곧 보딩을 시작하겠습니다.

보딩 패스와 여권을 준비해 주시기 바랍니다.  

Alice: "Finally, time to board! Europe, here we come!"

드디어 가는구나! 유럽, 우리가 간다!

Bob: "Woo-hoo! Let's make this trip unforgettable!"

야호! 잊지 못할 여행을 만들자!

Carol: "I can't wait to see all the beautiful cities and landmarks."

예쁜 도시와 주요 관광지 돌아볼 생각에 설레어. 

David: "And don't forget the delicious food!"

맛집도 빼먹지 마.

Flight Attendant Announcement: "Thank you for your patience. The boarding process will now begin. 

First class and priority passengers, please proceed to the gate.

Economy class passengers, your boarding will follow shortly."

기다려주셔서 감사합니다.  보딩을 시작합니다. 

퍼스트 클래스 승객과 우선 승객 먼저 게이트로 입장해 주십시오.

일반좌석 승객분들께서는 뒤이어 보딩을 진행하겠습니다. 

Alice: "Let's get in line. Our European adventure awaits!"

줄 서자. 우리의 유럽 모험이 기다린다. 

Bob: "I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself."

너무 신나서 감정을 숨기기가 힘들어. 

*contain 감정을 억누르다

Carol: "We're going to have the time of our lives!"
