여행 영어 (7) 쇼핑하기

 

안녕하세요.

미국식 영어회화 알려드리는 카니잉글리시입니다. 

 

여행 중에 꼭 빼먹을 수 없는 것 중 하나가 쇼핑입니다. 

현지에서만 구입할 수 있는 특별한 옷이나

고국에 돌아갔을 때 가족이나 친지에게 전해줄 선물을 고를 때도 쇼핑을 합니다. 

 

사담입니다만,

저는 해외에 나가면 꼭 마트 쇼핑을 합니다.

현지인들은 어떤 재료로 음식을 하는지

생활에는 어떤 제품을 사용하는지

현지인들의 실생활 체험을 하는 것 같아 재미있기 때문입니다.

 

그리고 누구나 다 아는 브랜드 상점보다는

재래시장과 같은 로컬 시장에서 쇼핑하는 것을 즐기는데요

국내에서는 볼 수 없는 희귀한 상품들을 구입할 수 있기 때문입니다.

 

오늘의 주제는 

이탈리아 로마에서 손가방과 지갑을 쇼핑하는 장면입니다. 

입장해서 상품을 고르고 색깔과 사이즈를 묻는 법,

계산하고 나가는 것까지의 대화를 담았습니다.

Customer: Buongiorno! (Good morning!) I'm looking for a new purse. Do you have any recommendations?

 

Clerk: Buongiorno! Of course, we have a lovely selection of purses. What style and color are you interested in?

 

Customer: I'm thinking of a medium-sized leather purse in a classic brown or black.

 

Clerk: Excellent choice. Right this way, please. Here are a few options that might catch your eye.

 

Customer: These are all beautiful. I particularly like this one with the gold accents. Could I take a closer look?

 

Clerk: Of course, feel free to examine it closely. 

This purse is made of genuine Italian leather and features a timeless design.

 

Customer: It's really well-crafted. How much is this one?

 

Clerk: The price for this purse is 150 euros.

 

Customer: Sounds reasonable. I'll take it. By the way, do you have any matching wallets?

 

Clerk: Certainly, we have coordinating wallets right over here. They're designed to complement the purses.
Customer: Perfect. I'll go with this wallet in black. Can you help me with the payment?

 

Clerk: Of course. We accept both cash and card. Please follow me to the checkout counter.
(Customer and clerk proceed to the checkout counter.)

 

Clerk: That will be 210 euros for the purse and wallet.

 

Customer: Here's my card. (Hands over the credit card.)

 

Clerk: Thank you. (Processes the payment.) Would you like your receipt in a bag?

 

Customer: Yes, please. Thank you for your assistance.

 

Clerk: You're welcome! Enjoy your new purse and wallet. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

 

Customer: Grazie mille! (Thank you very much!) Have a great day!

 

Clerk: Prego! (You're welcome!) You too, have a wonderful day!
(Customer leaves the shop with their new purse and wallet.)

굿모닝! 새 손가방 하나 구입하려고요. 추천해 주실 만한 거 있으실까요? 

 

Clerk: Buongiorno! Of course, we have a lovely selection of purses. What style and color are you interested in?

굿모닝! 그럼요, 예쁜 손가방들이 많이 있어요. 어떤 스타일과 색상 원하세요?

 

Customer: I'm thinking of a medium-sized leather purse in a classic brown or black.

중간 사이즈 가죽에 클래식한 갈색이나 검은색 생각하고 있어요.  

 

Clerk: Excellent choice. Right this way, please. Here are a few options that might catch your eye.

좋은 선택이네요. 이쪽으로 오세요. 이쪽에 몇 가지 맘에 드실만한 게 있을 거예요.

 

Customer: These are all beautiful. I particularly like this one with the gold accents. Could I take a closer look?

예쁘네요. 이 중에서 특히 금으로 포인트 준 이 손가방이 맘에 드네요. 꺼내봐 주실 수 있으세요?

 

Clerk: Of course, feel free to examine it closely. 

그럼요. 자세히 보셔도 돼요.

완벽하네요. 이 지갑 검은색으로 주세요. 계산 도와주실래요?

 

Clerk: Of course. We accept both cash and card. Please follow me to the checkout counter.

그럼요. 현금, 카드 다 결제 가능하세요. 계산대로 가실까요?

(Customer and clerk proceed to the checkout counter.)

(고객과 점원이 계산대로 이동합니다.)

 

Clerk: That will be 210 euros for the purse and wallet.

손가방이랑 지갑 합쳐서 210유로입니다.

 

Customer: Here's my card. (Hands over the credit card.)

카드로 할게요. (카드를 건네줍니다.)
